Our story
One cold whippet and a borrowed sewing machine
Walkies started in 2021 in a small studio in Hackney, with one whippet who was always cold and a sewing machine borrowed from a neighbour. Nothing in the shops fitted her deep chest and long back, so we started cutting our own.
Today we design coats, knits and rainwear for every shape of dog, and we still test every pattern on real dogs before it goes on sale.

How we work
Cut on real dogs
Every pattern is graded on dogs, not mannequins. Our fit panel is forty dogs from twenty-two breeds, from a two-kilo chihuahua to a forty-kilo labrador.
Made to last
Recycled down, merino–cotton knits and water-repellent shells that survive years of muddy walks and machine washes. We make small batches, so we rarely end up with leftover stock.
A small team
We are six people and a rotating cast of office dogs. When you write to us, one of us writes back, usually within a working day.
